So long, Oak Park summer - sorry to see you go

OK, it wasn't everyone's favorite summer of all time. Instead it was one of the hottest and driest of all time, at least through June and July. But by August, as you can see (above), the grass was green again in Scoville Park — just before they dug it all up. Like we said.

But people (especially kids) found a way to have fun anyway, and even though a lot of us like autumn better, we're still going to miss you, summer — especially when the snow flies … if we get any snow.
