Two Oak Park residents were robbed of their cellphones on Thursday, police said.
In the first instance, a robber got an Oak Park man's wallet and cellphone around 3:50 a.m. on Sept. 19 in the 900 block of South Lyman Avenue, police said.
An unknown male in his 20s approached the victim, displayed a small pocket knife and demanded his wallet, police said. The offender then reached into the victim's pants pocket and removed a cellphone.
According to police, the offender jumped into a beige Jeep and fled westbound on Garfield Street. Loss was estimated at $200.
In the second incident, an offender described as a male in his late teens slapped a black Apple iPhone from a man's hand as he walked near the 100 block of Chicago Avenue around 7:40 p.m.
The offender fled westbound on Chicago on foot along with two other males, police said.
