On Tuesday the residents of the 700 block of Bonnie Brae in River Forest held their 11th annual LemonAidfundraiser. More than 1,000 people turned out to make charitable donations and get a refreshing beverage. This year's proceeds will go to Sarah's Inn – a charity that works with victims of domestic violence.

Organizers have raised $19,000, surpassing the $16,000 raised at last year's fundraiser. Patty Henek, a resident of the block, said they went through 54 gallons of lemonade, hundreds of baked goods and more than six pounds of popcorn.
