The 7-Eleven at 515 Madison St. in Oak Park was robbed at gunpoint on Aug. 7 at 2:39 a.m., police have reported.

The Oak Park Police Department reported that the offender entered the store, displayed a black semi-automatic handgun and said, "Open the register."

The store clerk complied and the offender took an estimated $150 from the cash register. He then fled on foot in a southwest direction though the parking lot.

According to police, the offender was a black male, age unknown, standing about 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-11 with a light complexion, thin build and wearing a black scarf mask exposing his eyes, a navy blue button-down shirt, light green or khaki pants and black gym shoes with white trim on the bottom.

@ Dennis: Only because you asked, I recall the Mcdonalds across the street from the PD being robbed, I remember the Dunkin Donuts on the other side being robbed and the two guys each with a gun shooting up the inside of the currency exchange.at Austin and Madison. The Mcdonalds was an armed robbery with shots being fired and suspect hit.The Village Hall itself was burglarized and a police on police shooting in the station.Pay your parking tickets on line or by mail.
