Elderly woman struck by car in River Forest

A 76-year-old woman was transported to Loyola Medical Center to be treated for injuries sustained when she was struck while walking in the crosswalk at the corner of Park and Division by a vehicle headed eastbound on Division.

The incident occurred on Aug. 26 at approximately 7:30 a.m. The vehicle driver was ticketed for the incident, but River Forest police said that the victim was possibly at fault. Police said the victim's condition is unknown at this time.

the driver should be fully in control of her vehicle at all time it is no exceptoin the lady is 76 year old and have all the rights to cross the street anywhere do not be so bias in your reporting
