A man and a woman from the western suburbs whom River Forest paramedics allegedly treated for a heroin overdose a month ago were arrested in Oak Park this week.
Christopher Morgan of Glendale Heights, 24, and Ariel Utterback of Glen Ellyn, 26, were arrested on the 1000 block of North Blvd. in Oak Park and charged with possession of a controlled substance.
River Forest paramedics had encountered the two throwing up in a park on July 7, and treated them accordingly. River Forest police did not charge them with a crime at the time because no drugs were found.
Possession of a controlled substance
David Mason of Chicago, 22, was arrested by Oak Park police on the 5800 block of W. Adams in Chicago the afternoon of July 29 and charged with possession and delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a park, as well as delivery of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver.
In the same complaint, Leslie Pascale of Oak Park, 20, was arrested on the first block of Jackson in Oak Park and charged with possession of a controlled substance.
Michael Klamczynski of Schaumburg, 24, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of cannabis after he rear-ended a car on Lake Street at Lathrop the afternoon of Aug. 1.
Police said they saw a bag of a green leafy substance that appeared to be cannabis in the vehicle when they were questioning Klamczynski, and also allegedly saw syringes and pipes.
Krzysztof Tatarczuch of Harwood Heights, 32, was arrested on the 500 block of S. Oak Park Ave. early the morning of July 31 and charged with DUI.
Javaris Austin of Maywood, 22, was arrested at 300 Garfield in Oak Park early the morning of Aug. 2 and charged with DUI.
Possession of cannabis
Carlos Aguirre of Cicero, 19, was arrested by River Forest police at Harlem and Wabansia in Chicago the morning of Aug. 2 and charged with possession of more than 30 grams of cannabis.
Police said they pulled Aguirre over for an expired vehicle registration, and allegedly smelled marijuana in the car when they made the stop. A search of the vehicle found 34.7 grams of a substance that field tested positive as cannabis.
A female juvenile from Berwyn was arrested on the 1000 block of S. Scoville the night of July 29 and charged with possession of cannabis.
A forklift, a 50-inch Sony TV, a Denon stereo system and a three-drawer Craftsman chest were stolen from a locked garage on the 200 block of Franklin in River Forest between July 25 and July 26.
Someone broke a window of a basement apartment on the 800 block of S. Maple in Oak Park the morning of July 26 and entered, ransacking a bedroom and breaking another glass pane on an inside door. The total loss was estimated at $200.
Someone stole a black Dell laptop, valued at $900, from an apartment on the 900 block of North Blvd. in Oak Park on July 26.
A Sirius satellite radio, a TomTom GPS, a pair of Harley-Davidson sunglasses and miscellaneous CDs were stolen from an unlocked Chevy truck parked on the 100 block of N. Euclid in Oak Park on July 28.
Someone cut the screen of a window on the 800 block of S. Lombard in Oak Park the afternoon of July 28 and entered the home. The home was ransacked, and a 42-inch LG flat screen TV and miscellaneous jewelry were stolen.
Someone broke into an apartment on the first block of Austin in Oak Park mid-day on July 29, stealing a 32-inch TV and a digital converter box.
Roughly $864 was stolen from the cash register at Jimmy John's, 709 Lake in Oak Park, after the restaurant's front window was broken with a large rock early the morning of July 31.
Carl Lacy, 23, was allegedly seen trying to break into a silver Lexus parked in the driveway on the 7900 block of Chicago Ave. in River Forest the night of Aug. 1. He was taken into custody for a burglary investigation.
A man in his 30s robbed the Mobil station at 754 Harlem in River Forest the morning of July 28.
The suspect asked for a pack of cigarettes and two lottery tickets, and when the clerk turned around to get the tickets, the suspect pulled a black semi-automatic gun and demanded cash.
He locked the gas station attendant in the bathroom, and then took $500 to $600 in cash from the till and a box of Newport cigarettes.
Aggravated robbery arrest
Eric J. Love of Chicago, 22, was arrested on the 5900 block of W. Washington in Chicago the night of July 30 and charged with aggravated robbery to an Oak Park man.
A Casio projector, valued at $900, was stolen from Dominican University's Priory campus at 7200 Division in River Forest sometime during the day on July 28.
A Stihl backpack leaf blower was stolen from the bed of a landscaping truck parked on the 1400 block of Forest mid-morning on July 29.
Momonic A. McDaye of Oak Park was arrested on the 700 block of South Blvd. in Oak Park the morning of July 28 and charged with theft.
Someone stole several pieces of equipment, valued at $2,400, from Car X Muffler at 700 Madison in Oak Park by entering through an open overhead door sometime between the afternoon of July 27 and the morning of July 28.
Two men stole an orange Echo leaf blower from a trailer parked on the 1100 block of S. Oak Park Ave., then drove away in a white van the morning of July 30.
An unattended gas-powered weed whacker, valued at $150, was stolen from a vehicle parked on the 900 block of Lake in Oak Park the morning of July 30.
A woman's purse, containing an Apple iPhone, cash, a driver's license, credit cards, a checkbook and a set of keys, were stolen when the purse was left in Bar Louie at 1122 Lake in Oak Park the night of July 30.
Theft of motor vehicle
A 1993 green Chrysler Town and Country was stolen from the 900 block of S. Maple in Oak Park sometime during the day on July 29.
Criminal damage to property
Kristen Concepcion, 21, was arrested for criminal damage to property after she allegedly admitted to throwing eggs, pasta sauce, chocolate syrup and ketchup on a garage door on the 800 block of Forest in River Forest early the morning of Aug. 1.
Three one-foot copper sheet metal letters were torn off a sign at Unity Temple, 875 Lake in Oak Park sometime between July 22 and July 27. The loss was estimated at $5,200.
Endangering the life of a child
Matthew Brown of Oak Park, 21, was arrested on July 27 on the 100 block of N. Lombard in Oak Park and charged with endangering the life of a child, as well as reckless conduct.
These items were obtained from police reports filed by the Oak Park and River Forest police departments from July 26 to August 2. Not all incidents that occurred are listed. Anyone named in reports has only been charged with a crime and cases have not yet been adjudicated.
