Will Lake and Forest be Stankus Hole II for Oak Park?

Looks like history is repeating itself on the corner of Lake and Forest.

From the "Stankus Hole" on the south side of Lake Street in years past, to the current use on the north side, the "Glazier Dump Site." In March when Sertus was looking for an extension on the hotel project, they approved "Public use of the vacant land." Does that public use include dumping?

Popes Pastures. That sounds nice. It can easily be down for less than 5 million.

Let's build and outdoor ice rink this year instead of a dirty snow pile.

I place in nomination that the Lake and Forest empty lot be forever renamed "Popes Pasture"in an effort to bring quality green space to the Village of Oak Park.

Sertus is committed to building on the lot and has the full support of the board. Will they be able to put together a viable financing plan? There's the rub.
