Sad to lose an elm

We lost our large elm tree to Dutch elm disease this week. That's the bad news! But here's the good news: The crew from B. Haney and Sons' Tree Service was outstanding!

Darrell battled hornets as he cut the limbs high above the street, always carefully and with class. Martin and Nick helped on the ground, and Dan, one of the owners, brought in a rig that clamped onto the largest portions of the trunk which he then deftly maneuvered into the truck bed.

As sad as it was to watch the demise of our last big shade tree, it was fun to watch such teamwork in action!

Thanks, guys, for a job well done!
