Eileen M. French, 91, of Oak Park, died on July 5, 2013. Born on Sept. 4, 1921 in Chicago to Walter and Eunice McLoughlin, she attended St. Giles School and was a graduate of Austin High School.
She was active in the St. Edmund Women's Club, Cub Scouts, Bridge Club, Bowling League and Therisians.
Eileen French was the wife of the late George E. French, the mother of Roger J. (Frances) French and Marybeth (Taylor) Davis; the grandmother of William French, Tiffany (Eric) Friedman, Jessica (Mark) Brown and Taylor Katherine Davis; great-grandmother of Eugene Friedman, and Zoe, Andrew and Allison Brown; and the aunt of many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Frances (the late George) Coldewey, Eunice (the late Glen) Tracy, Walter McLoughlin and Phyllis (the late Edward) Morton.
All funeral services were held at St. Edmund Church on July 7, followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
Arrangements were handled by Drechsler, Brown & Williams Funeral Home.
