Someone threw a golf ball at a victim who was driving her vehicle on the 200 block of N. Elmwood on June 29. The driver was struck on the cheek by the golf ball. The offender was described as a black male between 16 and 18 years old with a medium build and black hair. He was wearing a dark baseball cap at the time of the incident.
An unknown offender removed a boy's Verde Cadet bicycle from a bicycle rack at a location on the 800 block of Lake, June 26-27. Estimated loss is $309.
Someone removed the front license plate from a 1999 Buick LeSabre parked on the 500 block of S. Maple on June 27. Estimated loss is $6.
An unknown offender removed a Men's Fuji Crosstown bicycle from a bicycle rack on the 1100 block of South Blvd. on June 27. Estimated loss is $500.
Someone removed a UPS package that was delivered to a home on the 500 block of Forest on June 24. Estimated loss is $200.
Someone was observed removing an Avaco 24-inch dirt bike left unattended at a location in Carroll Park on the 1100 block of S. Kenilworth, June 29. Estimated loss is $100.
An unknown offender used a screw driver to remove two metal electrical covers from a location on the 1100 block of S. Oak Park Avenue between June 22 and 29. Estimated loss is $120.
An unknown offender gained entry to a secure locker at Fitness Formula Clubs on the 1100 block of Lake by unknown means and removed approximately $340 in cash from the victim's wallet. Estimated loss is $340.
Someone entered Parenthesis Family Center on the second floor of a building located on the 400 block of S. Euclid between June 23 and 27 and removed a Dell/Marion laptop computer. Estimated loss is $1,000.
An unknown offender removed a registration sticker from the rear license plate of a 2006 Toyota parked on the 900 block of Lake on June 25. Estimated loss is $20.
Someone removed a men's Bianchi Advantage road bike from a location on the 200 block of N. Scoville, June 29. Estimated loss is $200.
An unknown offender removed a Champion BMX-style bicycle from a location on the 200 block of Augusta, June 30. Estimated loss is $100.
An unknown offender removed a leather briefcase left unattended at a location on the 100 block of Madison, June 30. The briefcase contained $180 in cash, a driver's license, social security card, credit card, and a debit card. Estimated loss is $260.
Jacques R. Rogers, 57, of the 400 block of Home, was arrested at a location on the 400 block of Home on June 30 and charged with disorderly conduct.
An unknown offender tipped a Smart Car onto its side at a location on the 600 block of S. Ridgeland, July 2-3.
A group of juveniles blew up a plastic mop bucket in a parking lot of Dominican University's Priory campus on the 7200 block of Division, June 28. The juveniles were located on the 1300 block of Park, and the parents at that location were notified of the incident.
Theft of motor vehicle
An unknown offender removed a 1992 Chevrolet Lumina from the driveway on the 1000 block of N. Lombard between June 30 and July 1. Estimated loss is $1,000.
Burglary to garage
An unknown offender entered a garage at a residence on the 200 block of Chicago Avenue between June 30 and July 1 and removed two Porter Cable routers, a Porter Cable circular saw, a Porter Cable air compressor, a Makita table saw, a Bosch belt sander, and a Craftsman tool chest. Estimated loss is $3,800.
Theft from person
An unknown offender approached a victim as the victim walked eastbound on Lake from Lombard and asked for the victim's money. The offender then took the victim's Apple iPod. Estimated loss is $350.
Burglary to motor vehicle
An unknown offender removed a Nikon camera, camera lens, and lens filter from a vehicle parked on the 600 block of N. Taylor, June 25-26. Estimated loss is $799.
An unknown offender entered a vehicle parked in the rear of a location on the 200 block of N. Marion, June 29-30 and removed a Garmin Nuvi GPS unit after breaking the driver's door window. Estimated loss and damage is $550.
An unknown offender entered a residence on the 600 block of S. Taylor on June 28 through the rear basement door, ransacked the home, and removed jewelry, a Hewlett Packard laptop computer, cash, and 50 silver dollar coins. Estimated loss is $3,250.
Someone knocked on the victim's front door at a location on the 200 block of Flournoy on July 1 and told her there was damage to the concrete in the rear of her residence. The victim walked with the offender to the rear of the residence, and later discovered that her bedroom closet had been ransacked while she was outside with the first offender. No loss was reported.
These items were obtained from the Oak Park and River Forest police departments, June 28-July 4. Not all incidents that occurred are listed. Anyone named in reports has only been charged with a crime and cases have not yet been adjudicated.
