In the city of Chicago, the following people were killed by violence during the 7 days between July 17 and July 23:
Devonte Pearson, age 20; Alexander Mayo, age 19;  Andre Bunton, age 33; Maurice Gibson, age 27; Carlos Barron, age 20; William Brown, age 24; Eugene Clark, age 25; Donald Lewis, age 25; Jose Ibarra, age 20; Kassandra Castillo, age 18; Marcus Holden, age 28; Carl Blackman, age 31; Tyrone Hart, age 18; Coby Bridgeman, age 29.

Outrage and presidential speeches are reserved for the rare occasion when the shooter is (at least partially) white. The deaths listed above are less interesting to media and leaders because they don't fit the narrative of white-on-black racism.

Sadly, since the list was compiled more have died. The big question is," Where is the outrage"? No protests, no demands from "prominent" leaders, no comments from President O'Bama that anyone of these victims could have been him, 35 years ago. All lives are precious and equal in the eyes of God.
