What's alarming is a child was moved from a danger zone to come to "great community" and he still felt at home elsewhere. Community is everyone coming together to aid the group. Black males in Oak Park don't feel welcome. Oak Park takes down all the basketball rims across the suburb. No one takes a tennis net down. This town is racist but we like to act as if it isn't.

linus - note both the initial and second were censored. not quite sure why, I must have rubbed someone the wrong way. Would not be too surprised if an IP ban is looming as more often than not I don't fit into the narrative

I'm not sure what the bigger crime is...BMW charging $54K for it's "cheapest" car or someone claiming they actually spent $54K on a car that, when totally optioned out, tops out at $50K. The insurance company might want to take a closer look into this...

Sorry. That should have read "why you were" not "what you were"

@The Brad - I agree that a 14 year old child should not be out alone at that hour. But why do you hold the entire "african american community" responsible? It seems to reveal a rascist perception which may explain what you were "censored"

@joe from south OP, after I read your initial, now censored, comment I wondered if I was going too far by musing why the child was out. I am sorry for the family, but we have curfews in place in Oak Park so that, if the parents aren't up for the challenge, the community can step. This is a tragedy, but one that may have easily been averted.

You mean the patients' car keys aren't kept in a lockbox? Doofus supreme

Censorship. Pure and simple. Our progressive community denies us our freedom of speech. What are your thought on the shooting? I wonder why a child is out in the wee hours of the morning.

Why was the comment section of the "Oak Park boy shot" article disabled?
