Mary Delores Fahey, 68, of Oak Park, died on July 17, 2016, surrounded by her family and friends after a year-long battle with cancer. Born on Jan. 15, 1948, she was an advertising executive who bought radio and television time for various advertising agencies throughout her career, TLK, DM&M, MZD, CPM, and KSM. She recently consulted for Muscular Dystrophy and Rogers & Hollands Jewelers. 

Mary Fahey is survived by her husband, James W. Fahey; her mother, Betty (Waldron) Madigan; her sisters, Barbara Starr (James) and Michelle McGuire (John); her step-children, Adam T. Fahey, Nathaniel (Veda), and Matthew (Tricia); and her many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and colleagues. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Madigan. 

Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, July 20 from 4 until 9 p.m. at Drechsler, Brown & Williams Funeral Home, 203 S. Marion St. in Oak Park. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on July 21 at Ascension Church, followed by private interment. 

In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates donations to the cancer research organization of your choice.
