The Senior Citizens' Services Coordinating Council of Oak Park and River Forest hosted its annual "Spring Fling" gift to seniors on May 21, in the ballroom at the Oak Park Arms Retirement Community.
Entertainment was provided by the Harmony Highway Barbershop Quarter, who charmed the audience with their humorous antics and smooth voices, and the Jump Rhythm Jazz Project Dancers. The dancers demonstrated the evolution of their choreography, involved the audience in clapping out rhythms, and performed some smooth moves inspired by Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers.
The "Spring Fling" was made possible by donations from the Coordinating Council and member organizations: Belmont Village, Holley Court Terrace, Home Instead Home Care, Nancy Berman of New Beginnings Professional Care Management, Oak Park Arms Retirement Community and Woodbine Skilled Care Residence.
