Lisa Pijon (nee Zini), 60, died on June 23, 2012 at her River Forest home after a long and hard-fought battle with breast cancer. Born in Pittsburgh, Penn., to Leo and the late Ramona Perry Zini, she attended the Rhode Island School of Design. Pursuing a career in fashion design, she moved to Chicago, where she met her husband, Ray. She was a loving mother to their beautiful daughter, Nicole. Friends and family say she loved hard and shared her soul with those she loved.
Lisa Pijon is survived by her parents, Leo and Carole Zini; her sisters, Ramona (John) Locke and Nancy (Buzz) Deitchman; her sister-in-law, Gail Calhoun; her nieces and nephews, Kendall and Devon Jones, Perry Locke and Christopher Calhoun.
A celebration of her life took place on June 30 at St. Luke Church in River Forest.
