Eagles 8U Red take second at Westdale

Carmody's grand slam, great defense fuel second-place showing

The Oak Park Eagles (8U Red) team, lead by Coach Chuck Carmody, completed its first tournament in Westdale finishing second in a field of fourteen teams. The boys played seven exciting games in three days. Highlights included a grand-slam home run hit over the fence by Patrick Carmody. In addition, the boys pushed the semi-final game into extra innings and ended the game by throwing out the tying run at home with a fantastic relay thrown from Ryder Conway to Winston Simon to John Philip Ferraro.
