Don't walk.

Instead, run to see an upcoming performance of Hamlet, performed this summer by Oak Park Festival Theatre.

It is highly unlikely that Shakespeare had 1920's Chicago in mind when writing the classic that has endured for centuries. However, the same passions, rivalries and conflicts that dominated Denmark are also found in bold relief in this modern setting.

The play runs through July 19, outdoors in Austin Gardens. Thursdays through Sundays and a couple of Wednesdays (including tonight!). For details, and to purchase tickets, see oakparkfestival.com.
