Storms that moved through Oak Park and River Forestnearly Sunday afternoon downed trees across the villages. On the 600 south block of Scoville Avenue two neighboring houses were both damaged by falling trees. Police had taped off Adams Street just east of Scoville Avenue where a large section of one of the downed trees blocked most of the street.

I have a large, entire oak tree lying across my driveway and resting on my porch at 316 N. Oak Park Ave. Other trees nearby also have serious damage. I wasn't here to see the storm pass through.

That was one crazy fast moving storm. In the past our corner of South OP at Fillmore and Elmwood gets hit hard but thankfully we only lost one branch today. So sorry for those who lost trees I know your pain...

Lots of tree damage and power outage in the 400 block of N East and Linden. Trees were damaged in a straight line Linden-Alley-East, almost like a mini-tornado tore through.
