Brother and sister charged in Oak Park shooting

The brother of a 21-year-old woman charged in the shooting of an Oak Park man May 30 on north Taylor Avenue has now been charged in the same shooting.

Eric Lamar Anderson, 18, of Harvey, has been charged with his sister, Erica J. Anderson, 21, of the 3100 block of W. Flournoy Ave. in Chicago.

Both face the same charges: attempted first-degree murder, home invasion, armed robbery and aggravated battery in the shooting of James F. Wilson, 50, of the 900 block of N. Taylor Ave. in Oak Park.

Police say indications are that Wilson knew his assailants.

The Anderson siblings are being held in Cook County Jail. Because he was on probation after being convicted of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon,

Eric Anderson is being held without bail. Erica Anderson's bail is $750,000. Preliminary court dates are set for Fri., June 7. If convicted on all counts, each could face up to 30 years in prison.

Responding to a 9-1-1 call just after 6 p.m., Thurs., May 30, police found Wilson inside near his basement apartment bleeding from gunshot wounds to his shoulder and jaw, but conscious.

He was transported to Loyola Medical Center in Maywood where he remains in stable condition.
