Oak Park and River Forest High School will install an interim human resources director for the 2013-2014 school year, and will conduct a search for a permanent person beginning next spring.
The school has been without its top personnel administrator since March after opting not to renew the contract of Lauren Smith, who's been HR director since 2010.
District 200 Supt. Steven Isoye has been overseeing the department since her departure. Smith's last day is officially June 30 but she has remained on administrative leave since March.
The school has not said whether that person will be an internal hire or someone from outside the school. Karin Sullivan, OPRF's communications and community relations director, said Isoye is the final stages of making that determination.
