The Village Manager Association will be holding an open forum at 7 p.m. tonight at the Oak Park Public Library, 834 Lake St., to discuss and gather input from residents on issues surrounding local politics.

The VMA has been slating candidates in village board elections for over 50 years. Since its candidates for three trustee seats and the office of village president were defeated in April, the organization has been reevaluating its past practices and considering changes in how it operates, VMA President Gene Armstrong has said in previous interviews.
