Oak Park police have no suspects in an apparent homicide committed Tuesday evening in a residential neighborhood on the southeast side of the village.

Peter D'Agostino, 42, was found on the front lawn of a home on the 1100 block of South Harvey Avenue Tuesday at about 5:15 p.m. He was pronounced dead upon arrival at 6:01 p.m. at Loyola Medical Center in Maywood.

In a statement Thursday afternoon, police said the investigation is "still in the early stages," and ask citizens "who may have seen or heard anything unusual" to call 358-5537.

The Cook County Medical Examiner determined the death to be caused by "blunt head trauma due to assault" in the manner of homicide.

All available police resources are focused on the investigation, Police Chief Rick Tanksley said in the statement.
