Two sculptures on Forest Avenue that were part of Oak Park's inaugural sculpture walk were knocked over early Friday.
The tipped sculptures were in front of 308 and 400 Forest Avenue, said Bill Planek of Oak Park Apartments. While he didn't have a damage estimate, Planek said limetone was chipped around the base of the sculpture on the 300 block. He said the extent of damage would be known when the works were put back in place.
The artwork is part of a 12-sculpture display that starts at the Oak Park Library and runs west along Lake Street to Forest Avenue, then north toward Chicago Avenue. The exhibit will be up until Oct. 18.
