Our beloved town stinks — at least since October 2016. In the small hours of the night, a sulfur wind overcomes large swaths of Oak Park. The IEPA is looking into it, but results are not forthcoming. EPA cuts will most likely not speed things up. There is little communication from the village of Oak Park on this issue.

I’m scared of how often my toddler has breathed this chemical stench of unknown origin and unknown health consequence. If it persists and perhaps worsens, will property values be impacted?

I love living in Oak Park, but as my home fills with a breeze akin to burning sewage, I find myself wondering if moving here was a mistake.
