Carlie Beach moves a rack of donuts fresh out of the fryer down in the basement at Pilgrim Congregational Church in Oak Park. Donuts have been part of the Oak Park Farmers Market for 37 years.
John Brancel, left, and Ray Johnson keep the dough and the laughs flowing in the kitchen.
Sandy Hughes, left, and Brad Bartels quickly turn the floating donuts.
Margot Smith, 4, was among the first customers just after 7 a.m., with her mother and brother, to purchase donuts at the Oak Park Farmers Market on a recent Saturday.
Go behind-the-scenes in the basement of Pilgrim Congregational Church to watch how those delicious Oak Park Farmers Market donuts are made each Saturday morning.

FYI...this particular Saturday the donuts were made by the Oak Park Area Lesbian & Gay Association. Pilgrim Church recruits various community groups to help with the donuts...and share in the profits. It's always great fun to volunteer.
