After a months-long investigation, Oak Park police on June 7 arrested a former bookkeeper who had worked at Total Nurses Network in the 1500 block of North Harlem Avenue and charged her with felony theft.

Dawn Hecht, 43, of the 400 block of Church Street in Batavia, allegedly transferred more than $10,000 from the company's business account into her own debit account without authorization between July 2012 and Feb. 2013. Hecht was held for bond hearings. "[Hecht] voluntarily came to the station and gave an oral statement making admissions," said Oak Park Sgt. Michael Richardson.
