Oak Park police reported an abduction attempt of a 17-year-old girl in the 800 block of Division Street, Tuesday around 3:30 p.m.

According to police, the girl was walking on the sidewalk on Division Street when she was passed by a tan four-door vehicle. The girl told police the driver waved at her. The girl said the vehicle passed a second time and the driver allegedly yelled, "Get in my car!"

The girl refused, and the driver left the area, driving southbound on Oak Park Avenue, she reported.

The girl described the driver as a bald, white male in his 70s with a wrinkled complexion and a "sloped" nose, wearing a tan jacket.

The girl walked home and told her mother, who contacted Oak Park police, said Detective Sgt. Michael Lepczynski.

By the way, Dan... what group are we profiling with the description of a "sloped nose"?

Thanks for pointing out my mis-read Dan. I get so confused sometimes from the over whelming number of articles that don't provide such descriptions. I suppose it's alright to print the color when the suspect is white? Cause typically it doesn't work like that the other way around.

HEY DAN, what color were these guys? On April 22, police said a 69-year-old woman was walking in the Dominick's parking lot...she was approached by a man from behind. The man allegedly displayed a black handgun and struck the victim in the face while attempting to remove her purse. The woman struggled and held onto the handbag, police said. The offender reportedly gave up and joined two other men and the group fled from the parking lot westbound on foot. Explain your comment policy again for me.

Good morning OP Guy. The article says the man was white.

I suppose it's the hot weather at it again. Also these specific facial details, yet we don't know what the color of the person is. I suppose I'll be looking out for any and everyone with wrinkles and a sloped nose.
