I was very moved by your column about grief and fitness ("Good grief helps mentally with physical fitness," Sports, March 9), and wanted to say thanks for a well-written and healthy response to the natural rhythm of life and loss.
I had never connected grief with physical fitness, but since mental, emotional, and physical are all related, it was a good awakening for me. I'm not in any particular grieving state at the moment, but your words were very touching and I clipped your article to save it for those days when I will need them again. I have a feeling I will read your words many times in the coming years.
Anyway, I know it's nice to get feedback, so just wanted you to know that you moved someone enough to write and say thanks!
