When the Oak Park-River Forest Community Foundation moved to its new location at 1049 Lake Street in Oak Park, the board and staff welcomed this opportunity to invite the public to visit our new facilities. Local merchants and organizations generously supported our plans for a Holiday Open House, providing decorations and door prizes for our guests.

We send our special thanks to: Anthony Salerno Salon, Blue Chicago on Clark, Caribou Coffee, Cosi, Edy's Ice Cream, Lake Theater, Maple Tree Inn, Marion Street Grille, Peterson's, Quizno's Subs, Subway, T.G.I. Friday's, The King & I, Village Players and the West Suburban YMCA for gift certificates; to Carriage Flower Shop for beautiful flowers; to Designs of the Interior for festive decorations that adorned our offices; and to Downtown Oak Park for helping us get the word out about our event.

Although we've been a part of the community since 1958, we now are located conveniently to other downtown activities. As our villages' Community Foundation, we offer individuals, companies, foundations and charitable agencies an avenue to make gifts and bequests of any amount to benefit the community. As our motto says, we're "Working together to do good."
