I feel fortunate to live in the thoughtful and deliberative community that Oak Park is, and I think it's an excellent sign of civic commitment that we have so many exceptional candidates for the District 200 school board. One of those names stands out for me as a forward thinking leader whose presence would greatly benefit the board, Township Trustee Eric Davis.
Trustee Davis has been awarded for his vision and dedication to service while serving on our Township Board, and his imagination and skills would carry over seamlessly to District 200. His background in architecture would help to make OPRF the first rate high school our community deserves. His service on a STEM Advisory Board could oversee our students receiving a top notch education.
I do not have children currently attending OPRF, but I love Oak Park and would like to be here long enough that my young children could attend in years to come and that is why I would like to see Eric Davis elected. I hope all our neighbors will turn out to vote in this election. I'm grateful to have such worthy candidates running for what can be a difficult post. You have four votes in the race for the District 200 Board; I hope one of those votes will be for Eric Davis.
