The electorate said 'good riddance' to the VMA

According to the April 6 WEDNESDAY JOURNAL, Diana Carpenter is shocked that she was not elected. Maybe part of the reason is that Oak Park's electorate has had enough of her and her VMA cronies' elitist, arrogant, self-righteous attitudes over the past few years. She says that she will not allow "single-issue voters ... to take over Oak Park."

Well I got news for her: We live in a democracy, not a monarchy. And as such it is the electorate that determines outcomes, single issues or not! Despite her and her colleagues being "better and more knowledgeable" than the rest of us common folk, the electorate has said good riddance to Diana Carpenter and the VMA. Her comments in the WJ would be laughable if they were not so pitiful!
