Many of us love Oak Park because of its diversity. Many of us move to Oak Park for the diversity, but we do not want this diversity in pictures and papers only. We want to walk the talk and talk the walk.
Our current village president, recently, in his State of the Village Address, stated in the Wednesday Journal on March 20, "We gain our success by virtue of the fact that we have many people from a variety of backgrounds living next to each other." Anan Abu-Taleb is our next-door neighbor; let us make him the next village president of Oak Park.
Also in the State of the Village Address, and I quote, "statistically, Oak Park is successfully the most diverse city in the United States." My fellow Oak Parkers, united we can put Anan Abu-Taleb in office, as our diverse village president.
We live in a democratic world. Anan is a family man, a successful businessman, full of integrity and strong leadership skills to move us forward. Let us continue success and elect Anan Abu-Taleb on April 9.
