Thanks for your mention of the $100,999 allocated by State Senator Kimberly Lightford for renovation of the Maze Branch Library (“$100K at Maze is no drag” March 8). Receipt of this money helps transfer some of the financing off the shoulders of Oak Park taxpayers.
There is more good news for Oak Park taxpayers: State Senator Don Harmon has allocated an additional $100,000 toward Maze renovation.
When you next write about additional funding for the Maze renovation, however, it would be a great relief to us if you put the item in your main news section (library call no. 071.3) rather than in the section [Inside Report] reserved for bodily functions (library call no. 649.62).
