Overnight street parking is prohibited in Oak Park from 2:30 to 6 a.m. However, residents are allotted 30 parking allowances per year for one license plate number (allowances are not allowed, however, when the snow plan is in effect, following a snowfall of two inches or more). Call the Overnight Parking Pass Line (358-6483) between 8 p.m. and 2:30 a.m.
Special extended passes are available for up to 15 nights under certain conditions. For more information, call the Daytime Parking Pass Request Line (358-3297) during regular work hours.
Parking is also prohibited for more than 30 min. on any street in River Forest between the hours of 2 and 6 a.m., except on days designated by the River Forest police. Allowances are granted (a maximum of three times every 30 days per license plate) by calling dispatch at 366-7125.
To log a noise nuisance complaint about idling freight trains, call Mike Charley, environmental health services supervisor at 358-5489 or e-mail him (firstname.lastname@example.org).
