In a second statement released by District 90, the schools confirmed that Tuesday morning's website shutdown was due to an overloaded system at its website provider.

The first statement released by the schools via email announced that the shutdown was because of a suspected security breach at the website provider, which caused the schools to postpone Summer School registration, set to begin April 1 at 6 a.m., to a later date.

"In the interest of equity in the registration process," reads a statement released by D90, "Summer School registration is suspended until 6 a.m., Thursday, April 3."

We would like to correct this earlier notice. District 90 has verified that the issue at its website vendor did not involve a security breach but rather an issue that overloaded their system and shut down our site. We apologize for any concern the earlier notice may have caused.
