Forty years ago, when I was 16 and living in Oak Park, Mike did some maintenance work on my first car. He was a brilliant mechanic and a genuinely nice guy. My path only crossed his those few times in the mid 1970s, but I never forgot his name or the quality of his work. Rest in peace, Mike. Sincerest condolences to the Garrity family.
