I find this crime report very offensive! A man with "slicked back black hair?!" Why did they have to give us the color of his hair?! I am a brunette and I am very insulted and afraid that people will begin to view all dark-haired people as criminals!!!! Same with his "dirty red car." Oh the humanity and bigotry! All those who own red cars are probably seething right now...LOL

Edit typo: THESE DUDE I resemble, as in I have the features of my Hispanic ethnicity. And I have ZERO qualms about any descriptions which allude to perps who may be Hispanic. None. If it puts two and two together in someone's mind and they can finger someone (*ahem*) then it's all good. Most crimes committed BY people of color occur TO people of color, so perhaps you have the luxury of your kumbaya-isms because the chances of you being a target are lessened. Oh I'm in my hometown-OP-every day!

@Kevin: Eureka! How could I have failed to consider the Liberal White Guilt knee-JERK response?! Silly of me! And it comes from White people like you and Meggie who wanna protect people of color from being seen as criminals, even when they actually commit crimes! It's really twisted because you think you are being soooo open-minded and kind-hearted but actually you are not allowing the public to actually rid our streets of those preying on us. And here's the topper: I rememble this dudes, Kev!

Early-life exposure to lead can be linked to criminal behaviour according to research by the University of Cincinnati. Lower income and inner-city children are most at risk.

I am a white male, don't jump to conclusions. I never once said that i don't like the WJ putting descriptions of perps in their paper. All i said is I am (and every other reader are) sick and tired of reading your racist comments. And yes we are "the boy who cried racist" you are a disgrace thank god you don't live in this town any longer. Get a life

Dear Reader S.D.: LOL! Yes, I realized that blatant hypocrisy...I apologize for those with effete sensibilities...May I weasle out of this by suggesting that 'effing' is a more decorous choice of words than what Kev wrote? Bottom line for Kev, et. al: You are getting to be the Boy (Man) Who Cried 'Racist!' and it ain't gonna work anymore. If a perp is caught, I don't need to know one more detail about him or her but if s/he's loose? I wanna know the color of his socks and panties!

My dear Violet, you do realize that when you use the word "effin" you do are using the "f" word? I believe both of you owe one-another an apology... and the whole of the kind readers of these pages.

Another thing, Kev: I dig the foul language. It proves everything to me. The fact that you cannot express yourself without the F-word is something I see quite frequently. People out in public saying 'mothereffing this and that;' no clue that there are kids, their elders right there having to be inflicted with their ignorance. Maybe your next crusade should be to get WJ to stop printing the pics of the perps, since you don't even like descriptions of them!

Violet Aura

@Kevin: Why is it "better?" Because as a Black man, when you read a description and the person happens to share your race, it makes you feel bad? Well boo-effin-who! When there are perps on the loose and they tell us the colors of the car, gun handle, clothing...everything under the Sun but a crucial aspect of their description, then it is both injurious to the community as well as a pathetic attempt to cover up what is going on. If they have already been arrested, then I don't need to know.

Seriously i could care less if i get banned for this but Violet SHUT THE F@#K UP!!! You are seriously the most racist person that anyone see on this site. Do us all a favor and go to another site, maybe one for your own town. I think that since Megan has taken over these crime reports have gotten much better. Keep up the good reporting.

Hey, they're just doing crimes that lazy American criminals won't do! LOL

Okay, now this is getting glaringly obvious-the staff "reporter" Megan Dooley does not mention that these two young men are in this country illegally. I just read this on the Sun-Times site. When are all the facts of a story going to be included, Ms. Dooley? That is true journalism. Liberal White guilt is so lame. Insulting, really...Signed, a woman of Hispanic descent:)
