We have had the privilege to be "planted" next door to Tom Cofsky and his loving family for over 20 years. Living a driveway's width from this extended family has given us more blessings than we will ever be able to count. Tom has been an exemplary role model in his selfless passion for volunteer work, whether it's enlisting our children in his devotion to PADS, spending countless hours for the Holiday Gift Basket Program, serving on the Financial Advisory Leadership Team for District 200, or regularly sitting for three hours donating blood and platelets to sustain a stranger's life. The list goes on.
Along with his dedication to becoming a public servant for the benefit of our community, he offers a unique skill set to D200. Tom has the daily experience of managing the size and complexity of an organization comparable to OPRF High School. Combining his managerial expertise with his financial background, he will ensure the fiscal transparency that our taxpayers deserve. He was recognized and awarded an endorsement by the Faculty Senate of OPRF. "He's so much fun … and always makes the right decisions," was our youngest daughter's affectionate assessment about Tom's character.
Meanwhile, passionate and tireless volunteer, serving on several boards, including OPRF Parents for Student Success, are invaluable strengths that Jackie Moore offers as a D200 board member. Together, Tom and Jackie would be tremendous assets for D200.
Please join in punching #163 for Tom Cofsky and #161 for Jackie Moore on April 9.
