Steve Nations has my vote for District 200 on April 9. I have heard Steve talk about using data to drive decisions. For example, Steve says his support of the Collaboration for Childhood Education is due to one reason and one reason only: Objective, long-range data shows that early childhood education positively impacts high school success.
Financial, curriculum and other district decisions should be supported by objective data whenever possible. I know that Steve's business and engineering background will always keep him seeking data to support his positions.
As a longtime friend, I can also tell you that while Steve is serious about business, he has a softer side as well. He is a great family man, baseball and soccer coach and one heck of a Scrabble player. He will make an outstanding D200 school board member.
