I was dismayed by the Wednesday Journal's recent story reporting on police and security details assigned to protect fellow residents in the wake of the Lefkow murders ("Following Lefkow killings, cops keeping watch over at-risk villagers," March 9).
Your reporting is irresponsible, sensationalistic, and needlessly threatens the safety of the concerned families. I find it deplorable that you would value the purported newsworthiness of such information before the personal safety of the families concerned. I, for one, can only say that I would far prefer for you to respect the privacy and safety concerns of these families than have the details of their police and security arrangements that you have reported on fall into the wrong hands.
