I believe that Jeff Weissglass has the skills and personal characteristics to be a highly effective District 200 school board member, and I strongly endorse his candidacy.
I have worked closely with Jeff for more than four years on educational reform issues. He was a leader in the development of District 97's strategic plan. He also played a critical role in building organizational capacity and financial support for the Collaboration for Early Childhood.
Jeff is passionate about creating the conditions for the success of all students — throughout their years in school and later in life. He has the courage and creativity to pursue innovative approaches, as well as the discipline and perseverance to bring them to realization.
Jeff recognizes that OPRF High School's
social contract with citizens regarding its finances needs to be restored. Ensuring both the financial stability of OPRF and the possibility for people of all income brackets to live in the community will be a key goal for the board. Jeff is a thoughtful listener and talented consensus builder.
He will bring his considerable skill and experience in financial analysis as well as a deep commitment to diversity to this complex enterprise.
Having served on the District 97 school board for eight years, I understand how demanding this role can be. We are fortunate that Jeff Weissglass has taken on this challenge. Please vote on April 9 and support his candidacy.
