As the coordinator of a local nonprofit, I understand the importance of reliable volunteers who are willing to work hard, to pay attention to details and to take the work seriously. I have found these qualities in Tom Cofsky.
These attributes, in addition to his leadership experience in managing a successful organization, make Tom an ideal District 200 school board member, since board members are integral volunteers needed for the success of our high school.
I have had the pleasure of working with Tom as the coordinator for the Holiday Food & Gift Basket program, which serves more than 2,200 residents in our communities. He has gone above and beyond as a volunteer. His personality is approachable; it is obvious he enjoys working with others. Tom has a proven ability to be an effective team member.
Two years ago, prior to putting his name on a ballot, he joined the superintendent's Financial Advisory Leadership Team, where he learned the financial workings of the district. Tom also understands and values excellence in education. He is the kind of person with the right values, the right collaborative approach and the keen insight to help us sustain educational excellence while attending to financial discipline.
As a board member, Tom would continue this work in the same thoughtful manner that makes him a successful business leader and an invaluable volunteer.
Please join me April 9 and vote for Tom Cofsky for District 200 school board.
