Green may be nice, but Brooks deserves better leadership

As a Brooks parent, I believe the reassignment of Flora Green is a good decision. Mrs. Green is a very nice woman, but she lacks the kind of leadership skills with teachers, parents and children that are crucial in a middle school setting. Brooks needs a strong leader who has a deep vision of where the school should be heading academically. Brooks also needs a leader who can implement and communicate that vision. Brooks needs a leader who can embrace criticism and turn it to productive change. Brooks has floundered over the past years (when two of my two sons attended), presenting so far as I could see, no clear sense of educational purpose. I am excited that Brooks will have a chance now for the leadership it deserves.
