Please, let's not get distracted by the defensive anger that Mrs. Green and supporters showed at the March 9 board meeting. Many stayed away in order to avoid an ugly scene, confident that Dr. Fagan and the board was poised to do the right thing by the Brooks community. Thank you to them. Please let's remember that as a community, we want the same things. We want our children to attend a school where they feel valued and challenged. We want parents to feel confident each day their children will be safe and treated with respect. We want teachers to have the support and the tools that they need to do their best work. We all want to feel proud of this school, excited about the learning that takes place there. Let's look forward to welcoming a leader who can bring our community together.
