The Animal Care League was one of Ray's pet causes

I've been reading about the many accomplishments of Trustee Ray Johnson, but I think one may have been overlooked. He was the trustee who finally listened to the people who were concerned about the fate of animals who came under the jurisdiction of Oak Park Animal Control.
Because of Mr. Johnson's involvement, action was taken and these animals went from living in miserable conditions to being housed, cared for, and adopted from Oak Park's remarkable Animal Care League.
Ray, thousands of animals thank you and wish you all the best in New York!
