Edward Bellock, 87, Longtime St. Vincent Ferrer parishioner

Edward J. Bellock Sr., 87 of Elmwood Park, formerly of River Forest, died on Feb. 21, 2011. He was a dedicated parishioner of St. Vincent Ferrer Church for 56 years.

He was the husband of the late LaVergne (nee Horwath); the father of the late Caroline, Edward Jr., and Donna (Daniel) Callen; the grandfather of Rebecca and Jennifer Callen; the brother of Theresa (Robert) Whymer, the late Antoninette (the late Wilber) Hanson, the late Raymond (the late Jane), the late Cyril (Rachel), the late Harry (Bess), the late Elizabeth (the late Frank) Johnson, the late Elaine (the late H. Kenneth) Foute, the late Vincent (Amy) and the late Charles. He was the brother-in-law of the Berman, Horwath and Best families and the uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Visitation took place on Feb. 23 at Peterson-Bassi Chapels in Chicago. Funeral Mass was celebrated on Feb. 24 at St. Giles Catholic Church, followed by interment at All Saints Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Ahern Funeral Home.
