Ruth S. McLaren, senior vice president, Community Bank Oak Park-River Forest, was named one of the 50 most influential women in banking by US BANKER magazine, a national publication of the financial services industry. She was chosen from 5,000 nominations of women in senior banking positions. The winners were honored at a gala dinner at The Plaza Hotel in New York. Part of the bank's original senior management team that started Community Bank eight years ago, McLaren is responsible for operations, human resources, compliance and marketing, and serves as the bank's security and CRA officer.
"We are delighted that Ruth's work and accomplishments have been recognized nationally. It's not only an honor for her but for our bank as well. Ruth wears about 10 hats in our organization, which makes her the glue that holds the bank together. She is responsible, sensitive, organized and unflappable," said Martin J.
