Now that Oak Park Festival Theatre's 30th anniversary year is coming to a close, I want to thank some of the people who have helped us in these last few months. A special thank you goes to board member Mila Tellez, who hosted our wonderful Classics Gala last month. It was a great evening. Thank you, too, to all those who contributed silent auction items, cooked or purchased a ticket. Thank you also to the Lakeside Pride String Ensemble for their incredible performance. Thanks also to Prairie Bread Kitchen and Val's halla for their help with the event. And finally, thank you to each and every member of our outstanding board of directors.

It has been a year of incredibly rapid growth, and I appreciate the board's and our artistic director Jack Hickey's willingness to head in new directions. Former board member Galen Gockel has accepted and is doing a fine job as our managing director.

Thank you to those who, through letters to the editor and survey comments, have suggested their support for a permanent indoor facility for our activities and/or an arts center for this most artistic community. There is so much that could be gained.

We are looking forward to another exciting year, which will feature not only a multi-show summer season, but our first indoor production. Thank you to Community Bank and the Pleasant Home Foundation for supporting our production of Tartuffe, which will run March 30 to April 30 at Pleasant Home. For more information on our activities, go to oakparkfestival.com or call 445-4440.
