Oak Park and River Forest High School, 201 N. Scoville Ave., presents Crazy for You, with music and lyrics by George and Ira Gershwin and book by Ken Ludwig, March 1 through 8. The plot involves the son of a wealthy New York banking family who flees his battle-axe of a mother and wealthy, soon-to-be-ex-fiance to follow his dream of dancing on Broadway. Memorable Gershwin tunes include “I Got Rhythm,” “They Can’t Take That Away from Me,” and “Embraceable You.” Performances are Saturdays, March 1 and 8, at 7:30 p.m.; Sunday, March 2, at 3 p.m.; and Friday, March 7, at 7:30 p.m. The March 2 matinee is free for seniors and preceded at 1:30 p.m. by a free reception in the South Cafeteria and priority seating for the show.
