River Forest cops: alleged Roosevelt student child luring incident 'unfounded'

River Forest Police announced Feb. 24 that a child luring incident reported over three days Feb. 11, 12 and 13 was "falsely reported and did not occur."

The report was declared "unfounded," said a statement from Deputy Chief James O'Shea. No further investigation is taking place, police said.

With news stories like this, I believe it is better to be safe than sorry. Appreciate the police's efforts on this.

Great. After it has been all over the TV news turns out some spoiled kid probably didn't want to walk a couple of blocks to school. Brilliant move, kid.
